ya.you are correct.there are no real factors.test is .........discriminant =
(coefficient of x)^2-4*(coefficient of x^2)*(constant) should be greater than or equal to zero.
17^2-4(23)(11) = -723
if this is negative , there no real factors for the function..that is there are no real values of x which satisfy this equation.hence we say there are no real solutions.

Complex Analysis question:
Assume f is analytic "inside and on" a simple closed curve C in the complex plane. Suppose f = o on C. Show f(z) = 0 at every point z inside C.

Question Details:
The function f(z)=1/z^3 satisfies integral f over c = 0 for every closed curve C in the complex plane that does not pass through the pount 0. However, this function is not analytic at the point 0. Why does Morera's Theorem not apply?
